Screw-barrel solutions matched to your machine and your production.
Every injection machine, raw material and production condition is different. MILON Endüstri offers injection screws, barrels, complete sets and complementary parts based on the machine model, existing dimensions and application needs.
The right screw geometry, together with material and surface treatment, contributes to consistent conveying, homogeneous melting and stable plasticizing of the raw material.
MILON's approach: we evaluate the solution not by dimensions alone, but together with the machine, the polymer processed, the filler ratio, the operating temperature and the production problem experienced.
Get a Technical Evaluation and a QuoteAt the Heart of the Plasticizing Process
The injection screw and barrel play a direct role in the controlled conveying, melting, mixing and homogenizing of the raw material into a melt. How well the geometry, material and surface treatment match the application determines plasticizing stability, part quality and equipment service life.

Injection Screw

Injection Barrel
- Conveying — moves the raw material forward from the feed zone
- Melting and mixing — supports homogenization through heat and shear
- Metering — prepares a stable, repeatable shot of material
Key Features
- Wide size range — screw diameters of Ø15–Ø360 mm and L/D 12–45 options
- Application-suited material — alternative base materials for different polymer and filler systems
- Optimized geometry — screw designs aimed at plasticizing, mixing and production stability
- Custom manufacturing — production based on technical drawings, existing samples or verified dimensions
- Surface options — nitriding, chrome plating and application-specific surface solutions
- Complete solution — screw, barrel and complementary injection parts evaluated together
Compatible Machine Brands
Solutions can be evaluated for a wide range of injection machines, including Haitian, Yizumi, Fanuc, Toyo, Demag, Toshiba, Sumitomo, Engel and Arburg.
Compatibility note: final suitability is not determined by brand name alone. Machine model, injection unit, technical drawing and existing part dimensions are all verified together.
Material and Surface Selection by Operating Condition
For applications processing general-purpose plastics such as PE, PP, PS and ABS, where abrasive filler and corrosive additive content is low, 38CrMoAlA-based, gas- or ion-nitrided screw-barrels offer a well-balanced standard solution. This structure can be considered especially for the production of packaging, houseware and general plastic products.
- Standard operating conditions — nitrided 38CrMoAlA; general-purpose and unfilled or low-filled plastics
- High wear — bimetal and highly wear-resistant options for formulations containing glass fiber, mineral filler or heavy recycled content
- High corrosion — corrosion-resistant material, coating and suitable bimetal alloy options for formulations containing PVC, flame retardants or corrosive additives
Selection note: the final screw geometry, L/D ratio, material and surface treatment are determined by evaluating the machine model, formulation, filler ratio, operating temperature, capacity expectations and existing wear or corrosion problems together.

Technical value note: the values in the table show the standard options. Final material, hardness, surface treatment, tolerances and dimensions are technically verified on a project basis.
Bimetal Option
For applications processing abrasive or corrosive raw materials, cobalt- and tungsten-based alloy options can be evaluated. On the screw, the flights and working surfaces with heavy wear can be reinforced with a hard alloy; on the barrel, a bimetal alloy layer can be applied to the inner surface in contact with the raw material.
For the bimetal alloy structure, application areas and technical details, see the Bimetal Injection Screws and Barrels page.
Complete Set and Complementary Parts
The following parts can be evaluated together depending on the application:

Screw Tip / Check Valve

Barrel Head

Nozzle

Heater
Heater options: mica, ceramic, copper and IR / infrared.
Other complementary parts: tie bars, flanges, connection elements and other machine-specific injection unit parts can be evaluated on a project basis.
Packaging and Lead Time
- Packaging — protective PE film and standard wooden crating suitable for international transport
- Standard lead time — approximately 25–30 days after technical drawing approval and advance payment
- Lead time note — can vary according to product size, material, surface treatment, production load and project scope
Information Needed for Technical Evaluation
- Machine information — brand, model and injection unit
- Basic dimensions — screw diameter, L/D ratio and existing part dimensions, if known
- Raw material — polymer processed, additive and filler type/ratio
- Technical reference — existing screw-barrel photos, technical drawing or sample
- Production problem — wear, discoloration, insufficient plasticizing, capacity or cycle instability
Our approach: we technically evaluate the existing production and the problem experienced; we closely manage the process from verifying dimensions and selecting the right material and geometry, through production tracking to delivery coordination. The goal is not just for the part to fit, but for it to operate safely, stably and efficiently in the application.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can production be based on an existing sample?
Yes. When no technical drawing is available, production-ready technical data can be prepared by checking the dimensions of the existing screw and barrel.
Can only the screw or only the barrel be supplied?
Yes. However, checking the working clearances and the wear on the mating part is important for compatibility when replacing only one part.
Can production be made suitable for any brand of injection machine?
The solution is prepared based on the machine model, injection unit and verified dimensions rather than the brand name. When the technical data is suitable, custom production can be evaluated for different brands.
